When it comes to football, winning trophies is all very well, but what really matters is who can go into work on a Monday morning with their head held high after a derby game.
It's all about bragging rights. |

Bragging rights stayed in North London for the 1955-1956 season with Spurs the perhaps unlikely kings of London football.
Unlikely because they finished 16th in the Division - below the other three London clubs in the top flight. In fact if it hadn't been for their form against their rivals, they would have been relegated.
Spurs also enjoyed a good Cup run, reaching the Semis where they lost to evenual winners Manchester City. Allong the way they knocked out West Ham, drawing 3-3 at home before beating the Hammers 2-1 away.
Arsenal's only win against London opposition all season also came in the Cup. They beat Charlton 2-0 away in the Fifth Round.
| Three points for a win, one for a draw, sweet FA for a lose. Should two or more teams have the same number of points, goal difference decides bragging rights.
Although in the good old days, clubs only received two points for a win in the League, the importance of beating your rivals means that no matter the season, three points for a win applies in the London Bragging Rights League.
