When it comes to football, winning trophies is all very well, but what really matters is who can go into work on a Monday morning with their head held high after a derby game.
It's all about bragging rights. |

War is over and blue is the colour.
Chelsea were unbeaten in the League against London teams and they underlined their superiority over Arsenal by beating them in the FA Cup.
Mind you it took three attempts with the two teams drawing 1-1 twice before Chelsea won 2-0 on neutral territory. Still, that means they beat Arsenal three times to hammer home their superiority during the 1946-1947 football season.
Charlton didn't beat a London club all season, but fortunately for the Addicks they only met northerners in an FA Cup run that took them all the way to the final and victory over Burnley in front of 98,215 fans at Wembley.
| Three points for a win, one for a draw, sweet FA for a lose. Should two or more teams have the same number of points, goal difference decides bragging rights.
Although in the good old days, clubs only received two points for a win in the League, the importance of beating your rivals means that no matter the season, three points for a win applies in the London Bragging Rights League.
