Arsenal gave one of the northern teams a chance to win the League (Sunderland) and there was nothing to separate the Guinners from Chelsea when they met. Both League games ended 1-1.
Arsenal though were stil the best team in London courtesy of more silverware - this time the FA Cup. While Arsenakl were on their way to winning it, Chelsea were knocked out by Second ivision Fulham. The first game ended 0-0, but the replay at Craven Cottage saw Fulham win 2-1.
More news. Charlton Athletic were promoted from Division Two.
| Three points for a win, one for a draw, sweet FA for a lose. Should two or more teams have the same number of points, goal difference decides bragging rights.
Although in the good old days, clubs only received two points for a win in the League, the importance of beating your rivals means that no matter the season, three points for a win applies in the London Bragging Rights League.
