When it comes to football, winning trophies is all very well, but what really matters is who can go into work on a Monday morning with their head held high after a derby game.
It's all about bragging rights. |

Spurs were the best team as far as the 1927-1928 Bragging RIghts League was concerned. At home they beat both Arsenal and West Ham and drew both away matches against their nearest and dearest rivals.
But it was a disappointing season otherwise for Tottenham in what was one of the closest First Divisions ever.
On the final day only seven points separated fourth place Derby County and bottom club (22nd place) Middlesbrough. Seven clubs - including West Ham - escaped relegation by one point, but unfortunately for Spurs fans their form against other London clubs did not extend to games against other teams in the Division and they were relegated.
| Three points for a win, one for a draw, sweet FA for a lose. Should two or more teams have the same number of points, goal difference decides bragging rights.
Although in the good old days, clubs only received two points for a win in the League, the importance of beating your rivals means that no matter the season, three points for a win applies in the London Bragging Rights League.
